• DUI case dismissed in Stanislaus County after client's motion to suppress evidence was granted. 
• Charges filed against client for being under the influence of a controlled substance dismissed in Sacramento County Court due to lack of evidence. Dismissal was effected after pre-trial negotiations with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office. 
• Two separate felony and misdemeanor hit and run cases reduced to traffic infractions in Sacramento County Superior Court. 
• Felony domestic violence charge reduced to a misdemeanor in Placer County; informal probation granted instead of potential prison time.
• Multiple traffic citations dismissed outright in Sacramento County for lack of evidence. 
• Multiple misdemeanor driving on suspended license charges dismissed in Sacramento County due to speedy trial right violations.
• Felony juvenile drug charges dismissed in Placer County Juvenile Court for lack of evidence.
• Felony juvenile drug charges reduced to a misdemeanor in Placer County Juvenile Court; case dismissed after probation granted and successfully completed.
• Felony burglary and weapons charges reduced to misdemeanors in Sacramento County Superior Court. 
• Red light camera violation dismissed in Sacramento County Traffic Court.
• Misdemeanor battery and drunk in public charges filed against client by the Yolo County District Attorney's Office reduced to disturbing the peace.
• September, 2010 - Sacramento County District Attorney's Office agreed to dismiss client's misdemeanor domestic battery charge pending completion of 12 anger management classes.  Criminal charges were dismissed upon successful completion of program in January of 2011.
• Misdemeanor driving on suspended license charge dismissed in Placer County due to speedy trial right violation.
• Client's Fifth DUI (and second felony DUI) case within 10 years successfully resolved in Sacramento County without client having to serve actual prison time.  Probation granted to client with a suspended sentence. 
• January, 2011 - Federal Court misdemeanor criminal charge for driving on a suspended license due to DUI conviction dismissed; remaining misdemeanor charge for driving while not properly licensed reduced to an infraction over U.S. Attorney's objection.
• April, 2011 - Felony expungment granted in Sacramento Criminal Court; case dismissed.
• June, 2011 - Felony robbery charges dismissed in Sacramento County Juvenile Court after client performed one year of successful probation.  Case dismissed.
• June, 2011 - Sacramento County domestic violence case dismissed.
• June, 2011 - Twenty five year old felony charges, which had been pending since 1986, were dismissed after Mr. King filed a successful Serna motion.  The charges were dismissed based on a violation of the client's speedy trial rights.
• August, 2011 - Domestic violence and child endangerment criminal charges filed against Client in December of 2010 were dismissed after production and review of exculpatory evidence.  The Sacramento District Attorney's Office, after careful review of newly presented evidence, granted a full dismissal of all criminal charges pending against Client. 

Restraining Order and Family Law Cases

• Spousal support obligation terminated during Placer County family law court trial.
• Opposing party's emergency child custody request denied in Yolo County for lack of evidence.
• Multiple opposing partys' requests for restraining orders denied in Sacramento County for lack of evidence.
• Child custody and visitation orders granted over opposing party's objection, and after a domestic violence restraining order was dismissed.
• El Dorado County civil restraining order dismissed by way of settlement.
• Temporary Guardianship established for client; four children removed from a sexually and physically abusive environment.
• Default judgment granted for client in a Sacramento County divorce proceeding.
• Child visitation orders granted for an aunt and uncle with regard to their minor nephew over father's initial objection. 
• Temporary civil restraining order dismissed in Placer County; attorney's fees awarded to client.
• Physical custody of two minor children granted to out of state client in Sacramento County Court.
• Opposing party's request to extend client's domestic violence restraining order rejected in Sacramento County Family Court.  During trial, the judge halted proceedings initiated by the opposing party due to lack of sufficient evidence.
• January, 2011 - Judgment obtained in Sacramento County Family Court after long cause trial to increase client's monthly spousal support award.  Opposing party was also ordered by the Court to pay client equalization payment for community property assets remaining in the opposing party's possession.
• February, 2011 - Civil restraining order petition filed against client in Sacramento County Court was dismissed after conclusion of trial.  Attorney's fees were awarded to client.
• February, 2011 - Default judgment granted in client's marital dissolution case in Sacramento County Family Court.
• February, 2011 - Civil restraining order filed against client dismissed at the conclusion of trial in Sacramento County Family Court.  Opposing party who filed the restraining order was ordered to pay attorney's fees.
• March, 2011 - Client's request for a domestic violence restraining order granted against the opposing party for a one year period.  Orders were issued after the matter proceeded to trial in Sacramento County Court.
• March, 2011 - Domestic violence restraining order dismissed in Sacramento County Court.
• April, 2011 - Child custody orders granted to client despite opposing party/parent's objection.
• May, 2011 - Move away order obtained in a Sacramento County child custody case; after successful mediation the Court granted client's request to relocate with the parties' children to a location over 1,500 miles away.
• May, 2011 - Five year domestic violence restraining order reduced to a one year period by way of court approved agreement with the opposing party.
• May, 2011 - Temporary civil restraining order issued against client was dismissed after settlement negotiations in Placer County Court.
• June, 2011 - After a breakdown in pre-hearing settlement negotiations in Sacramento County Family Court, client was awarded interim child and spousal support awards until further proceedings are conducted.
• June, 2011 - Non contested martial dissolution of judgment entered.
• August, 2011 - Opposing counsel's request for a $5,000 attorney's fee award was denied in Placer County Court.  After examining financial documents presented by Mr. King, the Court denied opposing counsel's request.
